Inside a Session

Start to Finish, Nothing Skipped

A head touches the tester twice, minimum — once at the start, once before it ever leaves the building. Everything in between depends on what you're getting built.

First reading

Whatever you brought in gets tested before we talk about anything else. Ten to twenty minutes depending on how many clubs, and we deliberately hold off on opinions until the numbers are on paper.

Watching you hit

A few swings on the monitor with your current set. We're listening as much as watching — a dull or overly lively strike sound tends to line up with what the tester already told us.

Trying alternatives

Everything on the demo wall already has a logged hardness reading, so nothing you hit is a mystery component. We watch the monitor together and rule things out fast once a pattern shows.

Narrowing down

Once two or three options separate from the rest, we start tweaking shaft, length or lie rather than settling for whatever the stock pairing happened to land on.

Locking the spec

We go through the full sheet together — head, hardness, shaft, length, lie, loft, grip. You approve it before anything's ordered, and you keep a copy regardless of what happens next.

Build and final check

Dale assembles the clubs once parts arrive, then every finished head goes back on the tester before you pick it up. Anything outside the accepted band gets caught here, not after you've already taken it home.

Timing

Full Bag Sessions Run Long — Here's Why

Fourteen individual heads, each needing its own reading, plus two or three test swaps per category before a spec locks in. Cutting that short defeats the point of using a calibrated tester in the first place. We'd rather take an extra hour than send you home with a guess dressed up as a measurement.

You Walk Out With

  • Printed hardness certificate, every head tested
  • A full written spec sheet
  • A build order, if you want one
  • No charge beyond the session until parts get ordered
